Get to Know Advanced RPO: Meet Paul Wolf

RPO - Blog - Paul Wolf

Welcome to our “Get to Know Advanced RPO” series. Want to know what makes Advanced RPO special? It’s our people, and you’ll get to meet them, one at a time.

Next at bat is Paul Wolf. Paul was raised just outside Philadelphia, where his passion for the Philadelphia Eagles and Penn State sports grew. Later in life, Paul served in the military and then landed a management role at the Department of Defense. In 1998, he took a leap of faith, diving into the HR industry where he remains today. Outside of work, Paul enjoys boating with his wife and daughter and spending time with their second child, a 17 year-old Shih Tzu named Chazz. Paul also enjoys golfing; this is where you may catch him telling one of his favorite memories the day Brett Favre threw him a football.

With nearly 15 years of hands-on recruiting experience and five in RPO management, Paul is a top resource for anything recruiting. Let’s hear what he has to say about working at Advanced RPO.

What’s wonderful about working for Advanced RPO & why would someone want to work here?

For me, it’s the people. Everyone in the organization is the ultimate team player, focusing on collaboration, knowledge sharing and a true willingness to jump in and help out. We have the most knowledgeable and experienced RPO team in the industry. Our people are what makes us different!

What do you think makes an exceptional RPO Coordinator?

It’s having a passion and commitment to client service and the candidate experience. The ability to build and nurture relationships with both candidates and client hiring teams is paramount. Our recruiters live and breathe a consultative and partnership approach to filling each role.

How do you see the recruitment marketplace changing right now? What do you think is one of the most important trends in recruiting?

Technology is going to continue to change the way recruiting happens. One of the most important trends I see, and have an interest in, is Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI is going to change the way we recruit by automating many tasks once done by recruiters. This will increase efficiency and speed without decreasing candidate engagement.

What advice do you have for anyone who is looking for a new job?

Engage, engage, engage! It’s a very competitive candidate market. Network and get to know the recruiters reaching out to you and be open to speaking with them, even if the opportunity may not be the right one. They will remember you for the next opportunity!

Why would someone want to work with Advanced RPO?

Because we truly are a partnership-driven organization. We continuously strive to create the best possible candidate experience throughout the recruiting process, and we continuously engage with our clients to help them deliver and maintain best-in-class talent acquisition programs.

Life is crazy. What keeps you sane? How do you recharge?

I enjoy boating with my family and playing golf. Both activities give me a sense of calm and the opportunity to relax and recharge!

Lastly, any quotes, mantras or inspiration for our readers?

Values are who you are even when no one is watching.
