Businesses are always looking for ways to find a competitive advantage, whether that’s through a new product or service offering or a unique way of doing business. With expected economic challenges ahead, it’s more important than ever to think strategically about your biggest differentiator that’s been there all along – your workforce.
Many companies that see their employees in this way have chosen to partner with a Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) provider. In doing so, they gain access to experienced recruiters, years of best practices and modern technology and recruiting tactics. It all adds up to attracting the right talent to their organizations and ultimately ensures talent remains a differentiator for years to come.
Advanced RPO President Pam Verhoff recently sat down to set the record straight on all things RPO. Here’s some of the highlights from Pam’s video interview.
RPO engagements are as unique as your business. RPO isn’t just for high-volume, hourly roles. Today’s engagements are strategic arrangements where recruiting is outsourced for all roles, from entry-level to executive.
Cost is important, but not at the expense of quality. When work is outsourced, it’s typically in an effort to cut costs. With RPO, the most important goal isn’t cost. It’s setting your company up for success with the people who will help your company make a difference in your industry.
Contingent agencies and RPOs aren’t one in the same. RPOs have an exclusive relationship with clients in that they aren’t competing head-to-head with other providers for roles. Talent in these arrangements belongs to clients, not the RPO.
Want a crash course in recruiting? Join an RPO firm. Recruiting at an RPO firm offers a great opportunity to learn about the industry, develop solid skills and gain experience with a variety of clients in different industries.
